Canon PowerShot A2000 IS

With a 10-megapixel sensor and a 6x optical zoom lens covering a focal length range from 36-216 mm equivalents (a moderate wide angle to moderate telephoto) and a big 3 inch LCD screen on the back, the A2000IS sits at the longer end of the zoom range for consumer digital cameras. One downside of the longer zoom though, is that the Canon A2000IS has no optical viewfinder: The rear-panel LCD is your only option for framing. With the current batch of cameras being introduced in late August, 2008, all Canon digital cameras (all-in-one digicams, that is) now sport Canon's excellent Image Stabilization (IS) technology. Image stabilization is one of the most useful digital camera features, as it can help you capture sharp, blur-free shots even under dim lighting.
